I suppose my biggest influence is my mother. She let me listen to the radio and sing songs with her when I was a little girl, while she made pretty dresses. She was an amazing seamstress. My mother would create beautiful garments that made women feel happy and special. She made magic with her hands.

Her influence led me to study apparel design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I went on to become a fashion designer in NYC for many years. Traveling the globe was part of the job, and I met with incredible people and experiences all over the world.
